Welcome! Thanks for your interest in the Church of the Rock Worship Dance Team. We meet Thursday evenings from 6 to about 7:30. We spend the first part of the evening sharing and praying for each other, then we spend the rest of the evening dancing. We are usually working on a specific dance that will be presented to the Church during normal service times. Our Thursday evening time is open to all women 18 years old and older who have a desire to worship God. (Dance skill or experience is not necessary.)

The heart of this team and small group is to care for each other and worship God, with dance. We do this in three ways, first we take time to pray for each other and to take in active interest in each other's lives. Second, we dance on are own before the Lord in times of individual worship. Third, we choreograph and learn dances that we then present to the Church as a public expression of our worship and love for Father God, and Jesus, His son. We use a variety of different styles and tempos, but always modesty and propriety.

We also will choreograph special dances that include younger dancers. We will present dances with different age groups, with the break down along these lines: grade school age, middle school age, junior and high school age. These may blend and/or overlap depending on the dance being presented. We have found that most children under 5 years old do not have the stamina and/or attention span needed to learn a dance and therefore we have set the age requirement at 5 years old and up.
